Thank you for your interest in submitting a Satellite Event to IMNHC 2023. Please note that dispositions were sent in late November. All Frequently Asked Questions may be found here. All other questions should be directed to information@imnhc.org.
Official satellite sessions are an opportunity for entities/organizations to plan a special session. Satellite session topics support the overall goals and vision of IMNHC 2023, centering around the experiences and voices of people living and working in low- and middle-income countries, and addressing major causes of and contributors to maternal and newborn mortality. The satellite format lends itself well to technical consultation and exchange, such as operationalizing new guidelines, as well as capacity-building sessions around critical topics such as manuscript writing, advocacy, human centered design, etc. Other illustrative examples of satellite session topics include highlighting successful approaches or socializing an agenda for MNH research.
Entities/organizations may also organize and fund their own unofficial satellites or side events that are not considered part of the official IMNHC program and will be held outside of IMNHC program hours. These unofficial satellite/side events do not require an application through IMNHC. Entities/organizations may explore meeting space at a number of venues within close proximity to the CTICC such as the Westin, Cullinan, AC Marriot, etc. You may reach out directly to these properties and should you need local logistics assistance please contact our event partner DMC South Africa at michelle@thedmcsa (dot) com and nelson@thedemcsa (dot) com.
