Technical Marketplace Overview

The Technical Marketplace will immediately follow an afternoon plenary on Wednesday, 10 May 2023 that will discuss the biggest bottlenecks and barriers the maternal newborn health (MNH) community is currently facing. The Technical Marketplace is meant to be a rallying moment to move the global MNH community forward with optimism and collective innovative thinking by presenting new solutions to the biggest bottlenecks and barriers. The various exhibits and demonstrations will be an opportunity for conference attendees to learn and be inspired, while at the same time serving as an opportunity for presenters to share, collaborate, and benefit from collective thinking.

The Technical Marketplace is envisioned to showcase promising maternal and newborn health interventions and innovations. Presenters will lead brief demonstrations of their innovation as attendees circulate to various tables throughout the marketplace during a 2.5-hour session. Innovations will focus on a variety of solutions and promising interventions such as: innovative products/tools, processes, new approaches to MNH service delivery, and/or artificial intelligence and digital interventions.

Considerations for applicants:
  • For applications that include protected intellectual property (IP), please ensure relevant IP holders are aware the innovation will be presented at IMNHC
  • In-person only (no virtual format)
  • Interactivity encouraged – applicants invited to detail plans for how they will make sessions interactive
  • Open to all attendees
  • Content development of session, speaker outreach and coordination and any meeting prep will be the responsibility of the session organizer
