Travel overview

IMNHC 2023 will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), located in the heart of Cape Town. The purpose-built event complex will be the site for all official conference programming.

The Cape Town International Airport (CPT) is approximately 19.1 kilometers/12 miles (around 20 minutes by car) to Cape Town city center.

Shuttle transport

Shuttle transport to partner hotels, from the airport and return, is provided as part of your conference registration during select dates and times. Please click here for a complete overview of the shuttle service.

• Airport arrival shuttles (6-8 May, 2023)
  • 6 May:  Limited shuttles available on a first come, first serve basis, from 12:00 mid-day until 22:00, departing hourly beginning at 12:00 mid-day, with the last shuttle departing the airport at 22:00.
  • 7 and 8 May: From 06:00 until 22:00, departing hourly beginning at 06:00, with the last shuttle departing the airport at 22:00

Shuttles will be clearly marked with the event signage on both front and side windows. You will be asked to place your luggage into the correct section of the shuttle to facilitate the easy off-loading when you reach your hotel. Before your travel, please be sure that all your travel bags are clearly labeled with your name. The shuttles will drop off at the official event hotels ONLY in the below order:

1. The Westin Hotel
2. AC Marriott
3. Onyx Hotel
4. Hotel SKY
5. Southern Sun Cullinan
6. Southern Sun Waterfront

• Hotel departure shuttles (11-12 May)
  • 11 May: From 04:00 until 20:00, departing hourly beginning at 04:00, with the last shuttle departing your hotel to the airport at 20:00.
  • 12 May: From 04:00 until 19:00, departing hourly from each hotel beginning at 04:00, with the last shuttle departing the your hotel to the airport at 19:00.
  • Please plan your departure to leave on a shuttle at least 3 hours before your international flight or 2 Hours before your domestic flight. An extra hour is recommended during peak traffic times, 16:00 – 18:00. Departure assistance staff will be dressed in event branded shirts holding signage at each hotel. Shuttles will be clearly marked with the event signage on both front and side windows. Shuttles will depart from hotels only; no departure shuttle service is being offered from the CTICC to the airport.

The CTICC is walking distance from IMNHC partner hotels, so transportation will not be provided once participants arrive at their hotel. Should you require special accommodations that would require such services, please contact registration@imnhc.org.
